Oh yeah a big racism scandal is exactly what the owners wanted. Yeah sounds highly likely that.

Jesus wept.

Spot on I thought this muppet had left the club Our last 4 windows have been woeful with the exception of a couple of good signings

This last window has been woeful; Dendonker the russian bloke; all smoke and mirrors!

Then they are playing with fire because in this day and age, this will run and run (or burn and burn, to be true to the metaphor.)

Like a dumpster fire.

First and foremost, he should be sacked as head of recruitment for being shit at recruitment!

Re: Sahko putting the boot in.
I tend to be of the opinion that this is in no way racist, but the board, sensing that the media may be turning against them, have played the one card that will always (ALWAYS) grab the headlines - the race card.

And, like Pavlov's dogs, the media duly oblige and people slavishly follow in case they're missing out on "something".

The man's not been fired, so it's not that clear cut to those directly involved, but it's a very convenient shit-storm. Nowhere near big enough to mask the growing fans' unrest though - they'll need something several orders of magnitude larger - and ON TOPIC - to make a difference there.

....and fans - is against black players.

Rubbish. Sakho's clearly talking about the current people in charge and actually said "good luck all West Ham fans"!

Mind you, Infidel likes to discriminate against Africans himself so no surprise that he'd try to twist the truth.

West Ham as an institution has been a soft touch on the pitch.

I believe that can change.

It's a shame that the good things seem to change instead.

All I've read is Sakho wishing the fans good luck and justice against this cunt board.

Re: Sahko putting the boot in.
Its fair to say West Ham supporters are a broad church. Like most clubs. As you can tell on here we have racists and anti racists supporting the club. Right and left, unless you hadn't noticed. But this isn't about that though.

It has absolutely nothing to do with this situation.

Neither does our fans racially abusing black players in the 70's and 80's.

What are you on about?

Infidel 12:31 Fri Feb 2
Re: Sahko putting the boot in.
It's highly relevant to talk about Clyde Best because the take out from Sakho's outburst and the media coverage is that West Ham as an institution - owners, board, management, and fans - is against black players.

In fact we were pioneers in bringing black players into the top flight of English football and our record speaks for itself.

To be fair in his statement he comes across as a CRAZY man... which backs up all the stories I have heard...

The Sakho messages were before the press leak. The person has only just released the messages though.

By this outburst he is proving exactly what Henry said.

Re: Sahko putting the boot in.
I seriously think that it is most likely that Moyes told Henry and Sullivan that he wanted PL ready players.

Henry was stupid in putting it down in writing with his own interpretation of not wanting "Africans".

Simple and if so, it was never intended to be racist. Just a practical need for white or black British experienced players.

Of course the way the world is today when the Welsh FA says their manager's job will definitely not go to an Englishman it was all a bit of a laugh. When someone says they aren't employing Africans it is racism...

Infidel 11:17 Fri Feb 2

Of course they're not mentioned.

Current mass media custom is to never publish anything that puts a positive spin on West Ham.

Not only did we sign a couple of Argentinians without the press having an inkling what was about to happen, we are raping, daily, the exchequer of taxpayers' hared earned money - money that could be used to buy incubators in the NHS for helpless little premature babies, or fund a police group to tackle child trafficking and prostitution.

Fivetide 11:28 Fri Feb 2
Re: Sahko putting the boot in.
Talking about Clyde Best etc.. is completely irrelevant.

Lumping together 1.2bn people and saying they are all the same is certainly ignorant by any standards.

But the problems at our club are not down to Henry, or down to prejudice. The people in charge are just totally shit at running a football club, managing players and interacting with the rest of the world ina reasonable way.

The Kronic 11:27 Fri Feb 2
Re: Sahko putting the boot in.
Nice one Sak. About time we heard the other side to the endless bullshit spin from the owners.
